Kosher Certification in Peru
To qualify as kosher, mammals must be cloven-hoofed and chew the cud . Fish must have removable fins and scales to be considered kosher. Kosher species of meat and poultry must be ritually slaughtered in the prescribed manner to be kosher. Meat and dairy products cannot be cooked or consumed together. To be kosher, wine must contain at least 9.6% alcohol and cannot be fermented with non-kosher products or derivatives. All fruits used to produce wine must also meet kashrut requirements.
